Seeing your Waterloo Chiropractor is the first step to improving your spinal health. To make
it easier, we have highlighted what to expect when you visit Waterloo Chiropractic.
You do not need a General Practitioner’s referral to visit your Waterloo Chiropractor. But please
bring documentation your chiropractor would find relevant to your case.
On the first visit, we listen to your concerns about your spine and body. Then we examine the area of concern and arrive at a diagnosis. 9 times out of 10 we proceed with treatment but sometimes we require further imaging or information before we can commit. Please note it is highly likely we’ll treatment on your first treatment.
On your second visit we will discuss how you have responded to your first adjustment. Based on this, we then put in place a detailed plan for your recovery or maintenance.
1. Symptomatic Care – This is aimed at reducing your pain and symptoms as quickly as possible.
2. Corrective Care – This addresses long-term, bad habits of your spinal movement. It can help retrain the way your spine moves and help prevent relapses or similar injuries at a later point. Corrective care will enhance your spinal health, gain education and experience other benefits.
3. Maintenance Care – As part of a natural, healthy lifestyle, people recognise that in addition to nutrition, exercise and emotional balance, proper body function is essential for good health. This not only includes regular Chiropractic Care but can include nutrition, exercise plans & massage.
